Terms & Conditions

Drafted 28 Aug 2026 for skillupbreakfree.co.uk. These Terms & Conditions apply whenever you create an account, browse, or purchase a course on skillupbreakfree.co.uk (“the Platform”). By using the Platform you agree to them. Our Privacy Notice and Cookie Notice explain how we handle your data and cookies, and form part of these Terms by reference.

Who we are — Skill Up Break Free Ltd, company number 16907293, registered office 61 Bridge Street, Kington, HR5 3DJ, trading as Skill Up Break Free™ (“we”, “us”, “our”). Contact: info@skillupbreakfree.co.uk.

1) Eligibility

The Platform is intended for adults (18+). By registering, you confirm you are at least 18 years old.

2) Your account

  • You must give accurate registration details and keep your login credentials confidential.
  • You’re responsible for activity on your account. Tell us straight away at info@skillupbreakfree.co.uk if you suspect unauthorised access.
  • We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms or our Community Code of Conduct.

3) Courses and access

  • Courses are self-paced online content delivered through the Platform. There are currently no live sessions, coaching calls, or scheduled group meetings included with a course purchase.
  • Once purchased, you get access to the course for as long as it remains available on the Platform, tied to your account.
  • We may update or improve course content over time. We’ll try to keep the substance of a course consistent with what you purchased, but minor changes (better examples, corrected errors, improved video quality) don’t entitle you to a refund.

4) Certificates and accreditation

Where a course includes a certificate of completion, it’s issued once you meet that course’s stated completion criteria (e.g. finishing all lessons/quizzes). A certificate confirms you completed the course content — it is not a regulated or nationally accredited qualification unless a specific course page says otherwise, and we don’t guarantee any particular employment, income, or career outcome from completing a course.

5) Prices and payment

  • Prices are shown in GBP at checkout and are payable in full at the time of purchase, processed securely via Stripe or PayPal. We do not see or store your card details.
  • We are not currently VAT-registered, so no VAT is added to the prices shown.

6) Cancellations and refunds

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you normally have a 14-day right to cancel an online purchase. For digital content like an online course, that right ends as soon as you start accessing the course content, provided we’ve made clear to you (including at checkout) that starting the course means losing the cancellation right, and you’ve agreed to that.

We don’t offer refunds beyond that statutory minimum. Once you’ve started accessing a course, the purchase is final.

7) Acceptable use

You agree not to: share your account or course content with anyone else; copy, resell, or redistribute course materials; use the Platform to harass, abuse, or endanger other members; or attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the Platform. Community interactions (comments, discussions) are also governed by our Community Code of Conduct.

8) Intellectual property

All course content, branding, and materials on the Platform belong to Skill Up Break Free Ltd or our licensors. Purchasing a course gives you a personal licence to use that content for your own learning — it doesn’t transfer ownership or give you rights to reproduce or share it.

9) Not a substitute for professional support

Skill Up Break Free provides educational and skills-building content. It is not therapy, counselling, medical treatment, or a substitute for professional mental health support. If you’re in crisis or need urgent support, please contact your GP, NHS 111, the Samaritans (116 123), or emergency services (999).

10) Liability

We provide the Platform with reasonable care and skill. We don’t exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Beyond that, to the extent permitted by law, we’re not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for outcomes (such as employment results) that depend on factors outside our control.

11) Ending this agreement

You can stop using the Platform and close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate access for a serious or repeated breach of these Terms, without refunding fees already paid for content you’ve accessed.

12) Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time — the “last updated” date below will change when we do. Continuing to use the Platform after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

13) Governing law

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.

14) Contact

Questions about these Terms: info@skillupbreakfree.co.uk.
